Moroccan Handira Wedding Blankets

Traditionally these blankets are hand made by Berber women in their homes in the middle Atlas Mountain region of Morocco. All the female relatives gather around and spend months creating these blankets weaving in good luck, love, fertility adding plenty of sequins to ward of the evil eye for the Bride on her Wedding day which is worn by the bride as she travels to her new home with her husband.
